Glam Polish Mid-Winter's Dream Collection Swatches and Review

Hi Lovelies! I'm excited to share with you swatches of select shades from the Glam Polish Mid-Winter's Dream collection which will launch tomorrow. The collection consists of a total of nine icy winter inspired shades and I've got six of them to show you today...

The first three shades contain ultra holographic micro glitter, the sparkle of which is just pure awesome...

Below Zero
An icy blue jelly base loaded with ultra holo micro glitter. This has a great formula and applies very easily, not too thick for such a glitter packed polish. It shines and sparkles at every turn. I just can't help but stare. Swatches are with a top coat...

Top Coat: Yes

Whirlwind
A lavender jelly base loaded with ultra holo micro glitter. It has a slightly sheerer formula compared to the other two glittery polishes, but it still provided full coverage with two easy coats. I got a bit to excited about this one and forgot to use a basecoat as I always do. I ended up with my nail beds stained pink when I removed this. It came out easily with toothpaste, but I would definitely suggest a base coat with this beauty. Swatches are with a top coat...

Polar Lights
A teal/green jelly base loaded with ultra holo micro glitter. It has a great formula which applies easily and provides full coverage at two coats. Swatches are with a top coat...

The other three shades that I would like to show you contain 12k white gold leaf flakes. Although the flakes can settle, it is not recommended to shake these polishes since it can break the delicate gold leaf. Instead, set the polish upside down for 5-10 minutes prior to polishing or just store it upside to ensure plenty of gold leaf in your mani.

I found the gold leaf easy to work with when applying the polish in regular brush strokes. No placing or dabbing is required as can be the case with glitter. Thinner coats worked better with these shades to allow the gold leaf to show through. Thicker coats, although tempting, covered up to much.

Blizzard
A periwinkle blue with silver translucent micro flakes and 12k white gold leaf flakes. This has a nice formula which provides good coverage at two coats, but I added a third thin coat to show off the gold leaf. Swatches are with a top coat...

In a Flurry
A turquoise with silver translucent micro flakes and 12k white gold leaf flakes. This is a bit more green in reality than my camera picked up. The formula once again is very nice. Two coats provides good coverage, but I added a thin third coat for the gold leaf. Swatches are with a top coat...

Frozen Heart
A pink base with silver translucent micro flakes and 12k white gold leaf flakes. This has a slightly sheerer formula than the two shades above. The formula was still very easy to work with and three thin coats provided complete coverage. I love this shade even though I tend to think of bright pinks perfect for the Spring or Summer season. However, considering that it is Summer in Australia where this beauty is made, it makes perfect sense in this Winter collection. Swatches are with a top coat...
