Shimmer Polish Anna, Courtney, Crystal and Gerry

Hi Everyone! It is fun how sometimes ideas just seem to mash up. One of my lovely readers, Arathael, suggested just the other day that thermal creams make great bases under glitter. Little did she know, I had been working on this post at the time. As it so happens, this is the first time (at least that I can remember) that I decided to try layering glitter over a thermal so great minds think alike I guess ;)

A little while ago, Cindy of Shimmer Polish sent me a bunch of her beauties to play around with. I will show them to you in the coming weeks a few at a time. Starting today with Anna, Courtney, Crystal and Gerry...

Anna
A mix of green, peach, iridescent and lots of other small glitter in a clear base. I applied one generous coat over a base of Polished by KPT Spring Around Me for this look. This glitter bomb has a great formula, not too thick, but with tons of glitter in each brush stroke, great distribution as well. A polish that shares my name, how could I not love? Swatches are with a top coat...

Courtney
A raspberry jelly base loaded with large blue hex glitter and smaller glitter in red, gold, green, micro silver and lots of other colors. It is difficult to truly describe all that it contains. I layered one coat over Polished by KPT Roses for Juliet. The tinted base of Courtney did darken the pink base, but the thermal effect still remained. This has a great formula, very easy to apply and lots of glitter in each brush stroke. Swatches are with a top coat...

Crystal
A sheer base with a mix of copper, iridescent, brown and lots of other glitter. I layered this one over Polished by KPT Kiss Me Before Sunrise. The glitter base had maybe a touch of a tint to it because it darkened the base polish a touch. I used two layers of glitter for this one because I loved the peppered effect. It applies easily with lots of glitter in each brush stroke. Makes me think of caramel, yummy! Swatches are with a top coat...

Gerry
A mix of small blue, violet, red, silver and other glitter in a clear base. It also has some larger black hex glitter sprinkled throughout. A really beautiful combination of glitter that I layered over Polished by KPT Delilac. Once again, great formula and application. There is lots of glitter and great distribution with each brush stroke. Swatches are with a top coat...
